You have a role in the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The board must help local advisory committees work well by giving them support and resources. The board must also listen to advice from these committees. The board must appoint a person from FENZ to each committee. This person advises the committee and helps them give good advice to FENZ and the board. This helps the committee work well with FENZ and the board. The board has to make sure the committees have what they need to work efficiently. This includes giving them information and facilities to do their job. The board must consider what the committees say and work with them.
