You must follow a notice under section 65 within one month. You get one month from when you receive the notice or when your appeal is decided. If you do not follow the notice, Fire and Emergency New Zealand may enter your land and do what the notice says. You have to do what the notice says if you are the owner or occupier of the land. The notice is usually given to you under section 65, which you can read about in the section 65 link. If you appeal the notice under section 66, you must wait for the result. If you do not comply with the notice, Fire and Emergency New Zealand can enter your land. They can do what the notice says you must do, but did not. This is what happens if you fail to follow the notice within the given time.
