When the Chief of Defence Force and FENZ work together, they must agree on who is in charge of the defence fire brigade and other FENZ personnel. You need to know that this agreement is made under section 148. The Chief of Defence Force can be in charge of the defence fire brigade when they are working together or when the brigade is working on its own outside a defence area. The Chief of Defence Force can do all the jobs and have all the powers of the person in charge of personnel under sections 38 to 45. This means they can make decisions and take actions as the person in charge. They have these powers when they are in charge of the defence fire brigade.
