You do not have to take part in solving a dispute using the dispute resolution scheme. You can choose not to participate. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. 183Participation is voluntary

  1. No person is required to participate in the resolution of a dispute using the dispute resolution scheme.

  2. However,—

  3. a person who appeals under section 35, 63, or 66 against a requirement must participate in the resolution of the appeal using the scheme:
    1. a person who agrees to participate in the resolution of a dispute using the scheme must participate in accordance with the rules of the scheme:
      1. if FENZ is a party to a dispute described in paragraph (a) or (b), FENZ must participate in accordance with the rules of the scheme.

        1. This section is subject to section 185.
