Levy on insured property: Policyholder to pay insurer

89Policyholder must pay amount of levy to insurer

  1. On entering into a contract of insurance, the policyholder becomes liable to pay the amount of levy that is payable by the insurer under section 86 to the insurer, in accordance with the contract of insurance.

  2. The amount payable by the policyholder under subsection (1) is a debt due by the policyholder to the insurer and is recoverable by the insurer.
