You know about Fire and Emergency New Zealand, or FENZ for short. It is a Crown entity, which means it is an organisation that belongs to the government. FENZ is subject to the Crown Entities Act 2004, except where this Act says otherwise. You can find more information about what it means to be a Crown entity in section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. FENZ is also connected to the New Zealand Fire Service Commission, which was set up under section 4 of the Fire Service Act 1975.
