When setting the boundaries of local advisory committees, you need to think about a few things. You must consider how well services can operate in the local area, what risks are present in the area, and the boundaries of other organisations. You also need to try to make sure the boundaries support the local advisory committees working well, their relationship with Fire and Emergency New Zealand, and their ability to represent the community. The board must also ask the public for their thoughts on the proposed boundaries of the local advisory committees.
