You need to use a licence surrender instrument to register that you are giving up a registered licence. The licence surrender instrument must have the prescribed information in it. You and the company must sign the licence surrender instrument. You cannot give up a licence if it has a mortgage on it. The licence surrender instrument is used to record this change. It is an important document that must be filled out correctly. The company and the person who holds the licence must both agree to give it up. This is done by signing the licence surrender instrument. The document must be completed with the right information to be valid.
