You will see how regional spatial plans work with other laws. A regional spatial plan is used in several laws to make sure everything works together. It is used in laws about land use, the natural environment, and transport. You can find out more about this in laws like the Natural Environment Act 2025 and the Land Transport Management Act 2003. These laws say that plans must be consistent with regional spatial plans. For example, when the Minister is making a plan for transport, they must think about the regional spatial plan. Local councils also have to think about regional spatial plans when they make their long-term plans. They have to say how they will make the regional spatial plan happen. This helps make sure everyone is working together to achieve the same goals. This is just a general idea of how regional spatial plans work with other laws. It is not a complete list of all the laws that are affected.
