Illustration for Planning Bill

You could commit an offence against this proposed law if you break certain rules. These rules include sections 17 and 18 about land and subdivision. You must follow these rules. You could also commit an offence if you do not follow an enforcement order. This includes conditions of a planning consent and abatement notices. You must comply with these orders. If you wilfully obstruct or hinder someone carrying out their powers under this law, you could commit an offence. You must not deceive or resist them either. You must follow any summons or order to give evidence. You could commit an offence if you enter a closed esplanade strip or access strip without a good reason. You must follow the rules in the instrument creating the strip. You must not break these rules.
