This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Planning Bill

Planning consents - Nature of consents, commencement, duration and review - Review of consent conditions by consent authority

169: Notice of review

You could also call this:

"When a consent authority checks and possibly changes the rules of a consent, they must inform you."

Illustration for Planning Bill

If a consent authority wants to review the conditions of a consent, they must give you a notice. This notice tells you which conditions they want to review and why. It also tells you what information they used to decide to review the consent. The notice may also tell you about a charge you have to pay for the review. If this is the case, it will tell you that you have to pay a charge and how much it might be. The consent authority may also ask you to suggest new conditions for the consent. If the review has to be publicly notified, the public notice will include a summary of the notice you were given. This public notice must be given within a certain time frame, depending on whether you were asked to suggest new conditions or not.
