This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Illustration for Planning Bill

The Minister can ask local authorities to give them information. You will be told what information to give if you are a local authority or a core infrastructure operator. The information must be about what you do under this Act, you must have the information, and the Minister must need it. The Minister will ask you for the information in a written notice with a date. You will have to give the Minister the information within 20 working days or a longer time the Minister sets. You cannot charge the Minister for giving them the information. The Minister can ask for information about how you do your job under this Act. You have to give the Minister the information you have that they need. This is part of a proposed new law, which may change how things are done now.
