66Special provision for certain areas

  1. The Chatham Islands Territory is not required to have a regional spatial plan.

  2. In subsection (1), Chatham Islands Territory means the district constituted by section 5 of the Chatham Islands Council Act 1995.

  3. A regional spatial plan must not apply to an offshore island that is administered by the Minister of Conservation acting as a local authority.

  4. This section applies despite any other provision of this Act.
