If you apply for a planning consent, the consent authority can ask you for more information at any reasonable time before they make a decision. They can only ask for this information if it is relevant to the application and will help them make a good decision. The consent authority must consider the cost and feasibility of getting the information, as well as how significant the matter is. If the consent authority asks for more information, they must do it in a specific way. You will be told what extra information you need to provide to help the consent authority understand your application. This will help them make a decision about your planning consent application. The consent authority wants to make sure they have enough information to make a good decision about your application. They will consider the details of your application and the potential effects of their decision. The consent authority must follow the rules when asking for more information from you.
