Illustration for Planning Bill

You will be part of an affected protected customary rights group if an activity may harm your protected customary rights. This activity must be in the area where your group has protected customary rights. The activity must also be something your group has not agreed to in writing. You have protected customary rights under Part 3 of the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011. If an activity may harm these rights and your group has not given written approval, you are an affected group. Your group can withdraw approval in a written notice to the consent authority before they make a decision.
