Illustration for Planning Bill

The chief executive will have to produce a system performance report every 3 years. You will see this report give effect to the purpose of the system performance framework and address the required matters. It will provide advice on how to manage environmental limits in an efficient and effective way. The chief executive will have to make sure to consult with Māori groups and relevant iwi and hapū when preparing the report. You can expect the chief executive to provide the report to the Minister as soon as it is completed. The report will then be made publicly available no later than 20 working days after it is provided to the Minister. The system performance report will set out its findings and provide advice on interventions to manage environmental limits. You will be able to see the report once it is made publicly available. The chief executive will make sure the report is completed and provided to the Minister and then made publicly available.
