You can make a submission about an application for a natural resource permit if it is publicly notified. You must make your submission to the permit authority in the manner described in section 132 of the Planning Act 2025. This applies to you if you are a qualifying resident of the region or an affected person under section 149. If the application is the subject of targeted notification, you can make a submission if you were served with notice of the application. You must make your submission to the permit authority in the manner described in section 132 of the Planning Act 2025. This is how you have your say about the application. When making a submission, you must not talk about trade competition or its effects. The permit authority may strike out your submission, or part of it, in accordance with section 133 of the Planning Act 2025. This means they can remove your submission if it does not follow the rules.
