If you get an infringement notice, it must have certain information on it. You need to know what you are supposed to have done wrong, when and where it happened. The notice must also say how much you have to pay. The notice must tell you where to send the payment and how to pay it. It must also say when you have to pay the fee by. You will also get information about what happens if you do not pay or ask for a hearing. The notice must include a summary of section 21(10) of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957. It must also tell you that you can ask for a hearing if you want to. If you do not pay or ask for a hearing, the notice must tell you what will happen next. The notice might have other information on it as well, as required by regulations made under section 281 of the Planning Act 2025.
