If you apply for a natural resource permit, the permit authority can ask you for more information. They can ask for this at any reasonable time before they make a decision on your application. You will need to provide this information so the authority can understand the implications of their decision. The permit authority will only ask for more information if they think it is necessary. They will consider how much it will cost to get the information and how important the decision is. They must ask for the information in a specific way. If the permit authority asks you for more information, they must follow the correct process. This means they must ask in the right format and way, as set out in the rules.
