Illustration for Natural Environment Bill

The Minister has to review how well the emergency response regulations are working. You will see this happen within 12 months of the regulations starting, and then every 12 months after that. The Minister must look at how the regulations are operating and how effective they are. The Minister has to write a report about the review. You can expect this report to be given to the House of Representatives as soon as it is finished. The Minister must also make the results of the review public. The Minister's report will be about the regulation made under section 324. You can find out more about this when the report is presented to the House of Representatives. The review and report are important to check the regulations are working well.
