215Functions of Minister

  1. The Minister has the following functions under this Act:

  2. recommending the approval of a national instrument under section 74:
    1. recommending the issue of water conservation orders under clause 13 or 15 of Schedule 4:
      1. monitoring the performance of the systems under this Act and the Planning Act 2025, including the functions, duties, and powers exercised by any person under those Acts:
        1. monitoring the effect of and implementation of this Act (including any regulations in force under it), national policy direction, and national standards:
          1. monitoring of the relationship between the functions, powers, and duties of central government and local government under this Part:
            1. monitoring and investigation, in such manner as the Minister thinks fit, of any significant land use matter:
              1. considering and investigating the use of economic instruments (including charges, levies, other fiscal measures, and incentives) to achieve the purpose of this Act:
                1. any other functions specified in this Act.
