35Specified prohibited activities

  1. The following activities are prohibited activities:

  2. prospecting, exploring, or mining for Crown-owned minerals in the internal waters of the Coromandel Peninsula:
    1. mining of which the main purpose is to mine mercury.

      1. Subsection (1)(a) does not apply to prospecting, exploring, or mining activities set out in section 61(1A) of the Crown Minerals Act 1991.
