76: Entry of imported goods in multiple or split shipments

You could also call this:

"Importing goods to New Zealand in smaller parts, instead of all at once"

When you import goods into New Zealand, you can ask the chief executive if you can bring them in multiple or split shipments. You can also ask to enter these goods under the same Tariff classification as if they were all in one shipment. The chief executive will look at certain criteria to decide if this is okay.

The chief executive might say yes if they think it is not reasonable to import all the goods at once. They will make this decision based on some prescribed criteria. You can find more information about this by looking at the related section.

If the chief executive says yes, they might add some conditions that you need to follow. These conditions are to make sure everything is done fairly and correctly. The chief executive gets to decide what conditions are necessary.
