Illustration for Customs and Excise Act 2018

If you are a Customs officer and you use force under the Customs and Excise Act 2018, you must give the chief executive a written report. You have 5 working days to do this. Your report must include what force you used and the circumstances in which you used it. You can find more information about this by looking at the Customs and Excise Act 2018 and similar laws like the one mentioned in the 1996 No 27 s 288A. The chief executive needs this report so they know what happened when you used force.
