When you arrive in or leave New Zealand, Customs can collect information about you and the craft you are on. This information can include details about the craft, such as its name and where it is coming from or going to. You can compare this to s 279 for more information.

Customs can also collect personal information about you, such as your name, date of birth, and nationality. They may also collect biometric information, like fingerprints, and details about your travel movements. This information helps Customs with passenger and crew processing, monitoring craft and people, and keeping the border secure.
