Illustration for Customs and Excise Act 2018

If you are a Customs officer or in charge of a Customs craft, you can anchor, moor, berth, or land the craft at any place in New Zealand. You can also haul the craft ashore at any place in New Zealand. You do not have to pay any charges to Customs for anchoring, mooring, berthing, landing, or hauling the craft ashore. This rule is similar to one in the Customs and Excise Act 1996, which you can find on the legislation website.
