Administrative matters - Register

126: Contents of register that is publicly available

You could also call this:

“What's in the public list of companies that handle your information”

The register must contain important information about data holders and accredited requestors. For data holders, the register will show their name and New Zealand Business Number. It will also list which regulations apply to them, what kinds of customer and product data they need to provide, and when they need to start providing it. The register will show what types of action requests they need to perform and when. It will explain how customers can complain about their services and how to contact them.

For accredited requestors, the register will show their name and New Zealand Business Number too. It will list which regulations they are accredited for and what types of accreditation they have. The register will also explain how customers can complain about their services and how to contact them.

The register might also include other information that has been decided should be included.

The chief executive has to make sure that all this information is available for everyone to see.
