23: Criteria for renewal of limited registration

The Board will not let you renew your limited registration unless they are satisfied with certain things. If a specific rule called section 14 applies to you, the Board must be satisfied that you still want to meet the criteria in section 6 or section 7. You must want to meet these criteria within the original time frame set by the Board, or you must have good reasons for needing more time. The Board must also be satisfied that you are making progress towards meeting the criteria, or that you have good reasons for not making progress. If a different type of registration applies to you, the Board must be satisfied that you still meet the criteria in section 15 to renew your registration.

Limited registration

23Criteria for renewal of limited registration

  1. The Board must not direct the renewal of provisional registration unless satisfied,—

  2. in the case of an applicant to whom section 14 applies, that the applicant
    1. still intends to work towards meeting the criteria in section 6 or section 7 within the time frame originally set by the Board; or
      1. still intends to work towards meeting the criteria in section 6 or section 7, but within a time frame longer than that originally set by the Board, and has good reasons for needing the longer time frame; and
      2. in any other case, that the applicant is still in the process of working towards meeting the criteria in section 6 or section 7, and—
        1. has made satisfactory progress in doing so; or
          1. has good reasons for not having made satisfactory progress in doing so.
          2. The Board must not direct the renewal of temporary registration unless satisfied that the applicant still meets the criteria in section 15.
