If you are a social worker, you can apply to the Tribunal to cancel a direction made under section 77(1) at any time. You must put your application in writing and give it to the Registrar. The Tribunal must then hear your application within 10 working days of receiving it.

The Tribunal can decide to grant or refuse your application, or it can change the conditions of the direction if they were imposed under section 77(1)(b). The Registrar will let you know the Tribunal's decision as soon as possible.

The Tribunal can also cancel a direction on its own, without you asking it to, under section 77(1). The Tribunal's decision will take effect right away.
