If you apply to be a social worker and meet the criteria in sections like section 6, the Board can authorise your registration. You are then entitled to be registered as a social worker. The Registrar must register you and enter your information into the Register as required by section 123. You will be notified of your registration and the conditions of your registration. If your registration is provisional or temporary, you will be told this and why, and how long it will last. 8FDecisions of Board on registration

  1. If the Board authorises an individual scope of practice for an applicant who meets the criteria in section 6, 7, 14, or 15 (as relevant), the applicant is entitled to be registered as a social worker, and the Registrar must promptly register the applicant by entering in the Register the information about the applicant required under section 123.

  2. The Registrar must promptly notify an applicant who has been registered of the fact of their registration, the contents of the authorisation by the Board (and any applicable general conditions) that form their individual scope of practice, and the reasons for any condition that has been included.

  3. If the Board decides that an applicant’s registration is to be provisional or temporary, the Registrar must also notify them of—

  4. the fact that it is provisional or temporary; and
    1. the duration of the registration; and
      1. the Board’s reasons.
        1. If the Board, after considering an application for registration, decides that the applicant should not be registered, the Registrar must promptly notify the applicant of the decision and the reasons for it.
