141: Certificate of Registrar to be evidence

You could also call this:

"A certificate from the Registrar is proof of something, unless proven wrong."

Illustration for Social Workers Registration Act 2003

If you get a certificate from the Registrar, it is enough evidence for most things, unless someone can prove it is wrong. The certificate can show if someone is registered as a social worker, or if they have a practising certificate. It can also show what is written in the Register, which is a list of social workers. The certificate can be used to prove what the Board, a committee, or a professional conduct committee has done. You can use the certificate to prove what happened during a proceeding of the Tribunal, which is a group that makes decisions about social workers. The Registrar's certificate is a powerful piece of evidence, and you can rely on it to be true, unless someone can show that it is not.
