Illustration for Social Workers Registration Act 2003

The Social Workers Registration Board can set fees for certain things. You might have to pay a fee when you apply to be a registered social worker. You might also have to pay a fee for other things, like getting a practising certificate or a copy of your certificate. The Board can decide not to charge a fee to some people. They can also decide to give you your money back if you have already paid a fee. A notice about fees is secondary legislation, which means it has to follow certain rules, you can learn more about these rules by looking at Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
