The Social Workers Registration Board is established by this law. You can think of the Board as a group that helps oversee social workers in New Zealand. The Board is considered a Crown entity, which means it is connected to the government, as outlined in section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004.

The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to the Board, except when this law says otherwise. This means the Board has to follow the rules set out in the Crown Entities Act, unless this law has different rules. You can find more information about what this means by looking at the Crown Entities Act 2004.
