Illustration for Intelligence and Security Act 2017

The Minister in charge of an intelligence and security agency has to create rules to guide the agency. You need to know these rules are about working with authorities from other countries. The Minister's rules cover things like working together with overseas authorities, giving them advice, and sharing secret information. The Minister must give a copy of these rules to the Intelligence and Security Committee. This is so the Committee knows what the rules are for working with overseas authorities.
