Illustration for Intelligence and Security Act 2017

The law is changing the way some words are defined in the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995. You will no longer see the term Director of Security in section 2 of this law. Instead, you will see two new definitions: Director-General of an intelligence and security agency and intelligence and security agency, which are explained in section 4 of the Intelligence and Security Act 2017. These new definitions will be added to section 2 in alphabetical order, so they are easy to find. You can find the meanings of these new terms in the Intelligence and Security Act 2017.
