17General duties applying when intelligence and security agency performing functions

  1. When performing its functions, an intelligence and security agency must act—

  2. in accordance with New Zealand law and all human rights obligations recognised by New Zealand law; and
    1. in the performance of its operational functions, independently and impartially; and
      1. with integrity and professionalism; and
        1. in a manner that facilitates effective democratic oversight.
