Illustration for Intelligence and Security Act 2017

When a practice warrant is issued, it goes to the Director-General of an intelligence and security agency. A practice warrant is issued by two people together: the Minister responsible for the agency and a Commissioner of Intelligence Warrants. You can think of a practice warrant as a special permission that these two people give to the Director-General.
