If you are unhappy with a decision made by the High Court about a New Zealand travel document, you can appeal to the Court of Appeal. You need to get permission from the court to do this, or if the court says no, you can ask the Court of Appeal for permission. You can appeal if the High Court decides to extend the time you are not allowed to get a New Zealand travel document. This appeal process has some special rules that you must follow, which are explained in sections 29AA to 29AC of the Act, and these rules apply to certain types of decisions, such as when the Minister decides not to issue a travel document, or when the High Court extends the time you cannot get a travel document, as stated in section 27GD(5).
