Health Act 1956

3: Power of Governor-General in Council to amend Schedules

You could also call this:

"The Governor-General can change the lists of diseases and trades in the Health Act."

The Governor-General can change the lists of diseases and trades in the Health Act 1956. You can find these lists in Schedules 1, 2, and 3. The Governor-General can add or remove diseases from these lists, and can also change the list of offensive trades in Schedule 3.

When the Governor-General makes these changes, they do it by Order in Council, which is a type of official decision. This decision will take effect as stated in the Order. If you want to know more about how these orders are published, you can look at Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.

The Governor-General's changes to the lists are considered secondary legislation, which means they are based on laws that have already been passed.
