Health Act 1956

Quarantine

94: Places of inspection for ships

You could also call this:

"Areas in harbours where ships with health concerns are inspected"

The Minister can choose a part of a harbour to be a place where ships that might have quarantine issues go to wait for an inspection. You will know about these places because the Minister will put a notice in the Gazette. The ship will wait there until a medical officer of health or health protection officer can inspect it.

The Minister can decide on these places from time to time, and they will be for ships that need to be checked. This is so the medical officer of health or health protection officer can make sure the ship is safe. The Minister's notice in the Gazette will let you know which parts of the harbour are these special places.
