Health Act 1956

Miscellaneous provisions

128: Power of entry and inspection

You could also call this:

"Some officials can visit and inspect your home or property at reasonable times to check health rules are being followed."

You can be visited by certain people at reasonable times. They are medical officers of health, health protection officers, or people authorised by them. They can enter your home, building, or land to inspect it.

You should know that these people can also do work on your property if it is allowed by the Health Act. They must have a good reason to enter and inspect your property. They can only enter at reasonable times.

These people are allowed to enter your property to make sure the Health Act is being followed, and they can do this because of the Health Amendment Act 1988.
