Health Act 1956

Management of infectious diseases - Overarching principles

92E: Individual to be informed

You could also call this:

"People helping you with infectious diseases must explain what's happening to you in a way you understand."

When someone is dealing with you about an infectious disease, they must tell you what is happening. They need to explain things in a way that you can understand. This includes telling you what they are doing and how it affects you. They also need to tell you what they plan to do next. If you do not agree with what they are doing, they must inform you that you have the right to appeal and to ask for a judicial review.
