Health Act 1956

Management of infectious diseases - Contact tracing

92ZZD: Consideration as to whether contact tracing can be undertaken by individual

You could also call this:

"Can you help find people you've been in contact with if you might have a infectious disease?"

When someone might have an infectious disease, a contact tracer needs to think about whether you can help find the people you have been in contact with. The contact tracer thinks about how serious the disease is and whether you are able and willing to help find those people. The contact tracer looks at how badly the disease could affect public health and whether you can do the contact tracing. If the contact tracer thinks it is a good idea for you to help with contact tracing, they will ask you to do it as much as you can and report back to them by a certain time. You will be asked to tell the contact tracer what you find out by the time they specify.
