Health Act 1956

National Cervical Screening Programme - Duties to provide information to women and to NCSP

112M: Duty of persons performing colposcopic procedure

You could also call this:

"People doing colposcopic procedures must explain what they do and share important information with you."

When you have a colposcopic procedure, the person doing it must explain what they are doing. They must also tell you about the National Cervical Screening Programme, why screening tests are important, and who can see your information. If they think you are not part of the programme, they must tell you that you will be added, but you can choose not to be by notifying the programme manager under section 112G.

They must send a report about your procedure to the programme manager. You do not have to pay for this report. The report must have the information the Director-General says it must have, and it must be sent in the way the Director-General says.

The person doing the procedure must follow these rules to make sure you have the information you need.
