Health Act 1956

Administration - Health districts

21: Evidence of authority of medical officer or health protection officer

You could also call this:

"Medical officers and health protection officers don't need to show ID to prove they can do their job"

If you see a medical officer of health or a health protection officer doing their job in a health district, you can assume they have the authority to do so. This means you do not need to ask for proof that they are allowed to work in that area. When a medical officer of health or a health protection officer is working, it is enough evidence that they are supposed to be doing their job in that health district.
