Health Act 1956

Fluoridation of drinking water

116C: Purpose

You could also call this:

"The Director-General decides if fluoride is added to drinking water."

The purpose of this part of the law is to let the Director-General tell a local authority whether or not to add fluoride to the drinking water they supply. You will see that the Director-General has the power to make this decision. The local authority must then follow the Director-General's direction regarding fluoride in the drinking water.
