National Cervical Screening Programme - Operation of NCSP

112E: Enrolment in NCSP

You could also call this:

"How you get on the National Cervical Screening Programme list"

The NCSP manager must put your name on the NCSP list if you have a screening test and the results are sent to the NCSP. You will also be put on the list if you have a colposcopic procedure and the results are sent to the NCSP. The NCSP manager will get these results.

The NCSP manager can choose to put your name on the list if you have surgery and a sample is taken from your cervix, and the results are sent to the NCSP. This is up to the NCSP manager to decide. They will look at the results of your surgery.

You will not be put on the NCSP list if you are already on it, or if you have asked to be taken off the list, or if you have told the NCSP manager that you do not want to be on the list, as stated in section 112G(2). This means you have already made a choice about being on the list. The NCSP manager will respect your choice.
