Health Act 1956

Powers and duties of local authorities - Nuisances

31: Provisions of this Act as to nuisances to be in addition to other rights

You could also call this:

"This law about nuisances adds to other laws, it doesn't replace them."

The provisions of this Act about nuisances do not limit any other rights you have under other laws. You can still use those other laws to deal with nuisances, and this Act does not affect them. This Act also says you cannot be punished twice for the same offence, once under this Act and again under another law or bylaw.
