Health Act 1956

Regulations

119: Regulations as to noxious substances and gases and dangerous goods

You could also call this:

"Safety rules for handling harmful substances and equipment"

The laws made under the Health Act 1956 can cover things like how to handle and store substances that can harm people's health. You need to be careful when dealing with these substances, and the laws can say what precautions to take and what protective clothing to wear. The laws can also limit the hours people work with these substances and require medical check-ups.

The laws can stop or limit the sale of things that can harm people's health, like equipment that uses poisonous substances. They can also control the use and sale of things that give off electromagnetic radiation, which is a kind of energy that can come from some equipment. This can include licensing people or premises that use or sell this kind of equipment.
