83Resolving issues about authorised funding and services determined by Remuneration Authority

  1. The Remuneration Authority must establish a procedure for resolving issues about how a provision of a determination made by the Remuneration Authority under section 72 or 74 is to be interpreted or applied.

  2. The procedure must provide for—

  3. at least the following 2 stages:
    1. an assessment of the issue, including whether the issue is able to be resolved by agreement:
      1. if required, a final decision by the Remuneration Authority; and
      2. the participation of the chief executive, for issues concerning expenses for family members of members or eligible candidates; and
        1. the participation of the chief executive responsible for Ministerial Services, for the following issues:
          1. expenses of Ministers or Parliamentary Under-Secretaries or their family members:
            1. travel expenses of former Prime Ministers or their spouses or partners.
